What is
Internet Radio?
Internet radio is exactly what it sounds like. It's live
audio from all over the world played on your PC.
What is
required to play Internet radio?
Before you can listen to Internet radio, you must first
have an audio player that is capable of playing audio in
MP3 format. We recommend WinAmp.
Click
here to download it for FREE. Other players include
RealPlayer, and Windows Media Player. Basically any audio
player will work as long as it can process .pls (playlist)
and .mp3 (digital audio) files.
For a
detailed overview of WinAmp and it's features, click
here.
What
Operating systems does Internet Radio Support?
You must be running windows 95, 98, ME 2000, NT or XP.
When
playing Internet Radio, the sound stops and starts? What's
wrong?
Internet radio streams audio directly to your PC. In other
words data is constantly being downloaded to your PC. If
the data stream is faster than your connection, then you
may experience a delay in the audio content. To fix this,
select a lower bit rate (i.e. 28.8K) audio stream. If you
are using a dial-up connection, you will want to select a
connection no faster than 56K. Even at 56K you may notice
an occasional break in the audio stream. Try a 28.8 stream
instead if you experience delays.
